The Cleaner / Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout Essen Health Care facilities. This role plays a critical part in infection control and patient satisfaction by ensuring all clinical and non-clinical areas meet healthcare cleanliness standards.
Clean and disinfect exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces
Follow established infection control and safety protocols
Properly handle and dispose of medical and non-medical waste
Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizers
Operate cleaning equipment and use approved cleaning products safely
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient care areas
Support terminal cleaning and deep cleaning as needed
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cleaning or environmental services experience (healthcare preferred)
Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and infection control practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
