We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistant to provide high-quality mental health care to a diverse adult patient population. This role focuses on medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
Diagnose and treat mental health conditions including:
Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Schizophrenia
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care teams
Ensure compliance with NY State regulations and organizational protocols
Active New York State PA license
NCCPA certification (in good standing)
Minimum 2 years of Psychiatry experience (outpatient preferred)
Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology
Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
EMR experience required
Experience in outpatient behavioral health, community mental health, or integrated care
Experience with diverse, underserved, or high-acuity populations
Bilingual (Spanish a plus)
