Job Summary

Position title: IT Process Manager

 

Job summary: We are seeking a Senior IT Process Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of healthcare technology initiatives. In this role, you will lead the coordination of multiple IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance with healthcare regulations, and timely delivery. You will act as the central point of communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership, facilitating collaboration and resolving issues to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple healthcare IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports for leadership review.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when necessary.
  • Oversee resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Support change management efforts, including training coordination and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful system integrations and solution deployments.
  • Mentor junior project coordinators and team members to build internal capacity and improve project delivery practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in healthcare IT project coordination or project management, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana) and documentation tools (Confluence, Visio).
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for clinical, technical, and executive audiences.

Educational Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Information Technology, Business Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with healthcare data analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
