Job Summary

Position: Director of Operations (Womens Health, Endocrinology & Nutrition)

 

Job summary: The Director of Operations for Women's Health, Endocrinology and Nutrition leads strategic, operational, and financial performance for these specialties. This leader collaborates with physicians, nursing, and administrative teams to optimize patient care, drive growth, and ensure service excellence. Responsibilities include developing and implementing service line strategies, managing budgets, expanding clinical programs, improving patient access, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Director also oversees quality improvement initiatives, enhances patient experience, and fosters physician engagement and referral relationships.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow service lines and expand market share
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to optimize care pathways and introduce new programs
  • Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Lead quality and patient safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Build relationships with referring providers and community partners
  • Analyze data to drive decision-making and performance improvement
    • KPIs:
      • Year-over-year service line growth (e.g., 10–15% increase in patient volume)
      • Patient retention rates and satisfaction scores
      • Referral Scheduled and Seen (New patient tracking and decreasing No-show rates)
      • Clinical quality metrics (e.g., cancer screening rates, time to treatment initiation)
      • Operating margin and budget adherence
      • Staff and provider engagement scores

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or a related field required.

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or a clinical field strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or service line management.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex service lines, preferably in Women’s Health, Endocrinology & Nutrition specialties.

  • Proven track record of driving service line growth, enhancing patient experience, and improving operational efficiency.

  • Experience working in an academic medical center, integrated delivery network, or large health system preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, strategic planning, and service line development.

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance related to oncology, surgical, and women’s health services.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work across clinical and administrative teams.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and financial planning related to healthcare services.

  • Ability to lead change, manage projects, and drive performance improvement initiatives.

  • Comfort with EMR systems (e.g., Epic), business intelligence tools, and healthcare analytics platforms.
