Job Summary

Position Title: Director of Employee Integrations/ People & Culture Department

 

Reporting to: Senior Director, People & Culture Operations

 

Job Summary: The Director of Employee Integration plays a key leadership role within the People & Culture department, overseeing the strategic design, execution, and continuous improvement of onboarding, orientation, and integration processes for new employees across the organization. This role ensures a seamless, engaging, and culturally aligned experience for all new hires—clinical and non-clinical—supporting retention, performance, and organizational belonging from day one.

Strategic Leadership

  • Design and lead a comprehensive employee integration strategy aligned with organizational values and goals.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Credentialing, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to ensure consistent, timely onboarding processes.
  • Create frameworks to support ongoing engagement of employees throughout their first year.

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Oversee the development and delivery of onboarding programs tailored to role type, department, and location (including provider-specific tracks).
  • Ensure all compliance, clinical, and operational requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and HR Ops to ensure day-one readiness (equipment, access, schedules, etc.).

Employee Experience & Culture Integration

  • Serve as a culture ambassador, ensuring new employees understand and feel connected to the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Develop feedback loops and touchpoints (30/60/90-day check-ins) to measure satisfaction and integration effectiveness.
  • Partner with DEI, Engagement, and Training teams to embed inclusive practices into the integration journey.

Process Improvement & Analytics

  • Track and analyze onboarding metrics (time-to-productivity, retention, engagement scores) and report on trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to build dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Identify gaps and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR, onboarding, or employee experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in healthcare, preferably in outpatient or community health settings.
  • Strong understanding of credentialing, regulatory, and compliance requirements in healthcare onboarding.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with HRIS and onboarding platforms (e.g. NetSuite, iCIMS).
  • Knowledge of NYC/Bronx healthcare landscape and workforce challenges.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the Bronx is a plus.
