Job Summary

Position Title: Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Operations

 

Job summary: The Senior Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading the organization's business intelligence function to define and drive strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across the organization. This role involves managing a team of analysts and project coordinators, and utilizing advanced analytics to provide actionable insights that support business objectives. This role will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and other members of the leadership team, and has significant exposure and upside professional development potential.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the business intelligence strategy aligned with the organization’s goals, ensuring that data analytics supports decision-making processes at all levels.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business intelligence professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Analytics Development: Oversee the design and implementation of advanced analytics models and tools, including dashboards, reports, and predictive analytics, to drive business insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives and department heads, to identify data needs and develop tailored analytics solutions that inform strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business initiatives and recommend adjustments based on data analysis.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on business intelligence tools and best practices, promoting data literacy across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Relevant experience in healthcare is preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL), data warehousing, and advanced analytics techniques
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of transforming data into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format to various audiences.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
