Job Summary

Position Title: VP, House Calls

 

Job Summary: The VP, House Calls is accountable for the day-to-day performance of all the clinical divisions (the primary, specialty, urgent care centers, nursing home, house calls) and support division (care management and managed service organization). The VP, House Calls will also oversee all staff and be accountable for the overall patient care experience. Working in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Staff, the Chief Operations Officer is accountable for the quality, safety and cost performance of the delivery system, and, and achievement of strategic goals. The VP, House Calls will ensure strong controls and the implementation of operational priorities, while supporting an effective company culture rooted in accountability

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for overseeing all operational and growth management issues, including the continued development and achievement of the business plan and an operations budget that accounts for data -driven analyses of activities, costs, labor ratios and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • In partnership with the CEO and executive team, the VP, House Calls will help institute systems, policies and procedures to provide the appropriate infrastructure required to achieve the desired growth plan.
  • Lead and execute all operational decisions while developing /implementing a strong, scalable infrastructure that maximizes financial performance and allows for the timely integration of newly acquired practices/businesses with minimal disruption to the core business.
  • Create and implement reporting of KPIs in the field to measure performance and enforce accountability, inclusive of the identification of 5-8 KPI’s that aim to close efficiency gaps at each location and drive EBITDA growth.
  • Provide leadership and P&L management over the business, along with a vision for near and long - term value creation.
  • Use a hands-on management approach that reinforces the importance of customer service, quality, integrity and accountability

Qualifications

  • At least five years operations management experience with a broad understanding of the health care industry
  • Must be a high energy, hands-on, metrics driven operating executive leader with a demonstrated track record of building a profitable multi-site healthcare business.
  • At least 15 years of business experience working in a similar multi-site healthcare services business; prior success as a VP or operational leader with full P&L responsibility
  • Experience working effectively with physicians in the provision of care, management of operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading with the Lean Management System principals.
  • Ability to translate a deep financial acumen and analytic mindset into tangible operational and financial goals.
  • Not afraid to roll up their sleeves; embodies a ‘player/coach’ leadership/management approach.
  • The ability to develop and lead a high – performance field operations team that has scaled a rapidly growing business
  • Natural inclination to take the initiative to lead change and drive execution.
  • A collaborative leader who is confident and assertive in style, while being respectful of others.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enable her/him to effectively engage the organization at all levels in key business initiatives and communicate effectively with a diverse contingent of stakeholders.
  • Experience in a consumer - oriented health care business is preferred.
  • Strength and influence as a partner to the CEO and senior leadership team that will enable successful execution of the company’s strategy and business plan
  • Original thinking and develops innovative approaches and ideas; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work and course correction when necessary.
  • Well-developed management skills and the ability to delegate responsibility and authority yet remain hands-on with appropriate attention to detail.
  • Successful team-building skills and knowledge in fostering high performing teams.

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or related field strongly desired

Salary: $140,000-$200,000
