Job Summary

Job Summary: In this role, you will play a crucial part in the smooth functioning of the medical office by confirming appointments, conducting triage, assisting with in-house procedures, and testing, managing PCP (Primary Care Provider) conversions, handling sterilization and autoclaving, tracking supplies, documenting usage, and updating digital logbooks.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities but not limited to:

 

  • Manage and maintain sterilization processes for all equipment being used while adhering to company policies and protocols
  • Conduct patient triage to assess and prioritize medical needs.
  • Gather relevant information to assist healthcare providers in delivering optimal care.
  • Support healthcare providers during in-house procedures such as EKG and PFT.
  • Ensure a sterile and organized environment for medical examinations.
  • Guide patients through the process of Primary Care Physician (PCP) conversions.
  • Provide information, answer queries, and facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Perform sterilization and autoclaving of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Track inventory levels of medical supplies.
  • Place orders and maintain sufficient stock to support daily operations.
  • Document the usage of medical items and supplies accurately.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records for reference.
  • Update logbooks regularly to reflect accurate information on supplies, procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Associate degree in Medical Assistant
  • CPR Certification (Urgent Care)
  • Internship experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with eCW is preferred.

Required Skills:

 

  • Competency in conducting triage, assisting with medical procedures, and performing sterilization and autoclaving.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage supplies, documentation, and logbook updates.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for accurate documentation and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a dynamic medical office setting.
  • Flexibility to handle diverse responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.

$16.00-$19.00 an hour
