Job Summary

Job summary: Department of Behavioral Health at Essen has immediate opening for Full time Administrator for Outpatient, Nursing home and House call Operations. Opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary team at Essen. All sites have strong participation with Essen Health home care coordination, with potential innovative pilot projects.


Essen’s Leadership team is in process of expanding Behavioral Health Service line with a vision to Integrate Behavioral Health into all the faucets of Essen Health care: Office division, Nursing homes, Care Coordination and House calls. In order to achieve this, we would be building and implementing
some pilot/novel customized behavioral health projects, based on scientific literature, to cater to different services. All these projects will be patient centric, cost effective, fully regulated and scalable.


The Administrator dept will be leading the expansions and implementing the vision of the Chief Behavioral Health Officer. He/She would be responsible for the operational oversight and to collaborate with other disciplines for the smooth running of the departmental activities.

Responsibilities

  • Designated Operations Leader for Behavioral Health Department at Essen 
  • Responsible for patient population and assigned staff 
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates, and evaluates behavioral health departmental activities 
  • Provides direct support and guidance to the staff in their development managerially 
  • Directly Reports to CEO, COO and CBHO and works under their supervision 
  • The BH Administrator will ensure success of the BH operations through quality enhancement, 
  • cost containment, revenue growth and development of strong relationships with staff, board 
  • members and leaders across other departments. 
  • Responsible for integration of BH services across office, Nursing home and House calls. 
  • Builds relationships with social workers, and providers 
  • Identifies the recruitment need and works with HR to hire more providers and expand the 
  • department 
  • Overseeing the Onboarding of the new employee in the department 
  • Coordinating with IT, ECW, credentialing and compliance 
  • Maintaining weekly Key productivity indicators and presenting to leadership 
  • Attending weekly meetings with CBHO and CEO 
  • Performing Continuous quality improvement projects – to identify and improve potential areas 
  • Marketing and promoting Behavioral Health services within and outside the Essen. 
  • Supervising the department manager in daily operations activities. 
  • Responsible for working with Chief Behavioral Health Officer to develop new policies and 
  • procedures to provide the best clinical performance 
  • Establishing all staff complies with NY state and federal laws and documentation 
  • Developing clinical staff and creating training programs to help facilitate ongoing clinical 
  • education 
  • Involved in director supervision for social workers and providers and development of employee’s 
  • caseload 
  • Following up with providers about supervision and working closely with medical staff 
  • professionals 
  • Reviewing notes and developing plans to help navigate patients through clinical process for social 
  • workers 
  • Using data to create and monitor systems 
  • Working with Human Resources on recruitment and retention of employees 
  • Will work closely with administration to figure out operational issues and how we can be most 
  • efficient in providing an overall growth plan by leading the behavioral department 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in health care administration such as MPH, MPA, MHA, MBA
    Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5+ Years of Behavioral Health Administration
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Follows office procedures about HIPAA documents and adheres to HIPAA privacy mandates; adheres to confidentiality policy; demonstrates infection control compliance relevant to job responsibilities: e.g. standard precautions

Salary: $80,000-$90,000
