Job Summary

Position Title: Application Support Manager

 

Job Summary: Essen Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced eClinicalWorks Support Manager to join our dynamic IT Applications team. The eClinicalWorks Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and support of our eClinicalWorks software and related systems. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of eClinicalWorks to support our healthcare operations and deliver exceptional patient care. This role will collaborate with medical, billing, and operational leaders to standardize, streamline, and optimize clinical workflows to meet the strategic goals of the organization.

 

The Application Support Manager role primarily serves in the EMR Department to work in our Bronx Administrative office in New York. As an Application Support Manager, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the following areas: This is a hybrid role and requires candidate to be on site 4 days a week and 1day remote following IT department’s work from home policy

  • Supporting and Maintaining Enterprise Clinical Applications including EMR
  • IT Operations & Implementation
  • Interdepartmental IT frameworks, processes, and procedures
  • Growth & Expansion

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the eClinicalWorks support team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement support strategies and best practices for eClinicalWorks to ensure smooth operations and maximum system availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, and administrative staff, to identify and address system issues, user needs, and process improvements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for eClinicalWorks-related escalations, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing timely resolution.
  • Coordinate and oversee system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance user proficiency and system adoption.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in eClinicalWorks support and proactively recommend system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of patient information.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other external stakeholders to resolve system-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and managing the project resources, scope and timeline
  • Provides technical oversight and direction to eClinicalworks onshore/offshore EMR team
  • Effectively communicates to 3rd party vendors on the business requirements and drives the solution to closure
  • Ensures clinical workflows are properly developed, tested, and implemented in production to drive business outcomes
  • Develop and document clinical workflows, configure features and functions in EMR and help support training the business capabilities to end users
  • Effectively manages and support the systems integration (Lab, Imaging etc.) with EMR
  • Identify areas of improvements for existing systems and new opportunities that will drive value to the business and support the organizational goals in a broader sense.
  • Frequently travels from location to location within the healthcare system to complete gap analysis.
  • Supports end users with at-the-elbow go-live support, post-live refresher, optimization, new hire, and skills-enhancement training

Qualifications

Salary: $70,000-$120,000
