Job Summary

Job Summary: As a receptionist at Essen Healthcare, you will play a vital role as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients, managing incoming calls to the facility, scheduling appointments, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow, collect, and update patient demographics accurately and handle administrative tasks efficiently. Effective communication, interpersonal and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Welcome and assist patients as they arrive, creating a positive and friendly atmosphere.
  • Address patient inquiries with professionalism and provide helpful information as needed.
  • Contact patients to confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary information.
  • Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy in records.
  • Facilitate the conversion of patient primary care providers as needed.
  • Collect and process patient copayments accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide patients with all discharge/check out orders, forms, and letters
  • Check incoming supplies and schedule maintenance for office equipment.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks, including Admin parcs, are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with scheduling transportation as needed.
  • Ensure the proper closure of all visits by the end of each day.
  • Guide and help patients with primary care assignments as needed.
  • Adapt work location and schedule based on departmental needs and patient volume; responsible for scheduling appointments, as well as performing patient check-in and check-out procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
  • Beginner-level proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with eCW is preferred.
